All participants receive a RunForTheBathroom /Let’s Potty! bracelet and the first 20 finishers receive a student-designed t-shirt (also available for purchase). The race will be run on the roads around Merit Academy and is our annual effort to “potty” in the name of education! We have adopted a sister school in Mtulu, Kenya, and raised enough money last year with our 5K to sponsor them building a latrine for their school. This year we hopeto raise enough to help them build much needed classrooms. 100% of the money we earn goes straight to Mtulu with the help of the Kenya Keys organization and the Global Classroom project from U.S. Synthetics. This will be a good race to warm up (or cool off) for the all marathons taking place the following few weekends. So come potty with us and register for a great cause! |
