JUNE 26, Saturday
The Central Utah Center for Independent Living is sponsoring our 8th Annual 5K Run, Walk, & Roll. It will take place on June 26th in Provo. CUCIL provides services that enable people with disabilities to remain living in their own homes and participating in activities within their chosen communities. The funds we raise are used to help with providing wheelchairs, walkers, transfer benches and other equipment necessary for them to perform the activities of daily living; to provide repairs for equipment; and also to provide training in how to adapt to a disability and basic life skills training. We need some volunteers to help with acquiring prize donations and collecting the donations right now and with distributing the posters as soon as they are printed. We will also need volunteers to help with other parts of organizing this 5k. Please contact Marie Andersen, Race Director, or Sandra Curcio, Executive Director of the Central Utah Center for Independent Living at 801-373-5044 or by email to marie@cucil.org or to sandra@cucil.org. We are giving URC 2 free entries in exchange for advertising on the URG homepage, the June race page, and sending out a message to the URG facebook group.
