www.UtahRunningGuide.com Average of about 36 races per month (mostly Utah).  We pro-actively look for and list ALL races that we find out about from multiple websites as well as from race directors, flyers, signs around town, etc. rather than solely relying on race directors to contact us.  Here you can also find out crucial information quickly about races without having to click on multiple links so you can know whether the race is of interest to you before you spend lots of time navigating through each race website or calling race directors.  We contact many race directors for you to find out any info that is missing from other sources.  We have the most race listings of any site including many listings an entire year in advanced.  This can help race directors if they need to change the date of a race or need to look for a good week to put  a race on because you can quickly see where and when all other races are and it can be changed quickly if you need to (within 24 hours your changes will be posted). SaltLakeRunningCo.com Average of about 24 Utah races per month (and a few in other states). For all races that race directors have asked them to list their race.  They usually need at least 2 weeks to add races to their calendar, and usually have races listed for the next 4 months.  The information is usually quite current and accurate because it is listed less than a few months from the date of the event.

Active.com Average of about 21 Utah races per month , many others in other states and countries.  For all races that use active.com for registration.  Customer support: 1-877-228-4881, or Support@Active.com

UtahRunning.com Average of about 21 races per month. Races are put on the site from other sources, but you can also add a race yourself if it isn’t on it.  Race directors can create accounts and list races and make changes to listings independently.  Users can opt to receive e-mail notifications of races for certain areas and specific distances.  Started by Janae and Kent Richardson of Ogden in January, 2010.  Race directors can get their races featured with a color logo on the homepage.

UtahRaceGuide.com Average of about 10 Utah races per month (and a few in other states). For all races that race directors have submitted to them by Oct 31 of the previous year. Occasionally there are additional races listed on the website that aren’t listed in the printed guide available at most running stores, so it is good to check the online version, too.  The paper guide is handy so you don’t have to print it all out and you can quickly look up races/stores/clubs and bring it along with you on the go so you’ll have the phone numbers and addresses, etc. on hand.  It also has some registration forms in it.

Mapmyrun.com/running_events Average of about 10 Utah races per month . This site appears to work in conjunction with active.com.  It seems to have the maps for the races on active and to automatically generate events from the active listings, but I’m not sure yet if anyone can put their race here or only active.com race directors.

RunnerCard.com Average of about 9 Utah races per month . mostly in Utah. For all races that use Runner Card for online registration.  The information is very accurate because it is posted and updated directly by race directors.

RockyMtnRunning.com/Calendar/Google Average of about 9 races per month.  Race directors must add their races to the site.

262Running.com Average of about 2 Utah races per month. Mostly races sponsored by 26.2 Running Company near Utah County. Any race director may post races here with the approval of 26.2.  Around October 10th they are supposed to get a new website with more features.

FastRunningBlog.com Usually 1 race featured and 2 Utah races on 1st page of discussion board per month. To get a race featured on the homepage or in a permanent top position on the discussion board, you must meet certain standards.  Almost anyone who is a member of the blog is allowed to post a race on the discussion board but it must be regularly updated or receive comments to stay on the page.  Sometimes you will find out about information on races that race directors haven’t specified elsewhere, such as prize adjustments and free entries for elites, etc.

Race Directors:

To get a color logo near your race listing on the calendar for the month in which it occurs, a direct link to your website, get your race put in bold and a darker color that stands out (navy blue or dark green) at the top of the list of races at the same time, get your race listed on our “Utah Running Guide” flyer, which is passed out around the state and at running stores, and have 400+ runners invited to your race via facebook, see the instructions on the bottom of the home page.

To get your race logo and direct link put on this page, you must offer more than the other race directors that month.
